The Perfect Rice Pudding

One of my favorite and easy dishes to make is Rice Pudding, also known as “Katnov” in Armenian. Its texture is soft and creamy and the sweet taste just tops it all off! The recipe is super simple! All it takes is a few ingredients and about 30 minutes of your time.


Servings: 4
Cook time: 30 minutes


  • ½ gallon milk

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup rice

  • Cinnamon


  • Heat up ½ gallon of milk and add 1 tsp of salt and mix until boiling.

  • When it has reached the boiling point, add 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of rice.

  • Mix until thickened for about 25-30 minutes on medium heat.

  • Remove from heat and place into serving cups

  • Top off with ground cinnamon and serve!
