Here are the sales I’m taking advantage this year! Some are first time buys, some are repeat, some are friends who have amazing deals that I love to support and some are just “buy it because it’s on sale, why not?!” I didn’t list makeup because well, I’ll list every single brand I know as they’re all having sales; including ELCIE, lol yay! Hope you find this list helpful:
This is the FIRST on my list! Not that I’m a huge Victoria’s Secret fan but the deals are freakin awesome! All sleepwear is buy one get one FREE! You better believe I stocked up on some pjs for gifts - they’re so cute! AND online, you get free shipping & a free tote bag after a $75 spend. In store, I got the softest plush robe I had seen on my friend Renita and it was $38 down from $65! AND I got a free blanky and bag. These deals were too good not to take advantage of.
I’ve never ordered from this website but it came up in my feed, sponsored. So hey! Those paid ads do work sometimes. I haven’t been wearing polish since I got pregnant because I don’t want to do gel during this time and regular polish lasts 2 minutes on me. I saw this Ad with the chicest polish packaging that’s 8 toxins free and is supposed to last 10 days! I got the neutral set as it was all my favorite shades but they have a nice matte dark collection too. $45 for 10 polishes? Such a great gift!
My girlfriend Angie sent me her flyer for Cyber Monday and I couldn’t believe it. For those of you who don’t know, I LIVE in her clothes. Super comfortable, cute, fun & sometimes quirky! She is offering 35% OFF all regular priced items and all clearance items are $7. $7!!! Girl...you can buy all your holiday gifts in one click. Use code: CyberMonday
This girl is a friend of mine for years and for years I’ve been repping her stuff! I am on her website on the regular picking out clothes I want or need and I’ll nag her to bring them to me. I just love the styles, chic-ness, price and quality! Anyone can always find something on this site! She has 30% OFF entire site plus FREE SHIPPING! Use code: MINE
I don’t normally wear jewelry. The type of jewelry I do wear is the kind I wear on the daily, simplicity. Suzy’s been a friend of mine for a while but her some of her items have been key pieces in my daily wear and gifting for the Holidays for years now! Starting from her bicycle bracelets to her Armenian alphabet necklaces. One of my favorite pieces from her line are the bullets and makes a great gift for both men and women - you can’t go wrong! Beat part? She’s having the biggest sale ever: up to 80% OFF! Stock up not only for the Holidays but everyone’s birthday throughout the year - seriously!
If I have to pick ONE store out of all the stores ever to shop for anything; it’s Anthro. I love their clothing, home decor, kitchen accessories, evening wear - I mean everything! I WAIT for sales at Anthro because I can always find something for myself or if I want to get a gift. They are having 30% OFF everything plus FREE SHIPPING on order $100 or more. Stock up on their candles, cheese platters, mugs and throws!
We all have so much to be thankful for. Even on our lowest days, even when things seem like they're going downhill, even when it feels like it can't get worse; we ALL have have something to be thankful for. It is important to remind yourself everyday, and not just today, of your blessings. And although it's tough to see and accept that sometimes, just know that you are protected. Once you have accepted that and feel confident in your being, so many beautiful things will come your way. To be thankful for our lives, the air we breathe, the clothes on our back, the roof over our heads, the health of our family is something we should never take for granted. Be truly thankful for the life you have and watch your life unfold effortlessly. And when I say "truly", I mean, say it out loud, write it down, say it to yourself repeatedly, believe it and don't you let yourself forget it.
I, personally, am thankful for all this on the daily; but on this special day, I just want to say THANK YOU. Thank you to every single person who has supported me for every little thing on my journey. The overabundance of love and happiness I received from all of you on our 2nd baby's announcement last month had me so thankful and emotional, I can't even explain. You have not just supported my career, my brand; but my personal milestones. You have been there for me during times you wouldn't even know. I don't know how to repay you for how much you have helped me get to where I am. May God give YOU the same love & support from your close ones and peers, 10-fold! I love you guys so much. Happy Thanksgiving!
I can’t even express my excitement for this feature! I did several interviews when I was in Dubai, but never did I think it would be a 4 page spread in Hello Magazine! What a dream!!!
Sometimes life gets so busy that we don’t get a chance to stop and truly appreciate our accomplishments. We get excited about it and then we’ve moved onto to the next thing that needs to get “done”. And at some point, these accomplishments start to get neutralized in our heads and we don’t appreciate ourselves the way we should. I began doing affirmations just a few weeks ago, every morning and night. The first night I did it, I got the email from Simply with the opportunity to go to Dubai. Coincidence? Maybe. But since then, I’ve been doing it every morning and night and this month has truly proved to be something special.
Although always grateful, October has been one overwhelming (in a good way) month! I launched my Elcie Cosmetics Complete Remedy Silque Concealers & Translucent Powders, our new Eclipse Highlighters, I traveled to Dubai in collaboration with Simply (who I adore working with) and was published in several publications across the globe. Grateful beyond words. In case you missed it, proud to share them below!
This subject has been on my mind for months. I occasionally talk about it and express my feelings here and there; but this video really struck home with me. It’s no big secret, a big part of my life and my business is social media. I love social media for all the good it has to offer: sharing, connecting and inspiring. With that said, since a big part of my life and business is social media, it’s hard to put down the phone. I’ve changed my habits a lot within the past year and I feel SO good and yes, healthy!
When I’m not actually sharing or connecting, I’m not touching my phone. I don’t have mindless text conversations, I don’t scroll social media for hours (which I used to do) and I don’t pick up my phone unless I absolutely have to when I’m around people. When I’m with people, I want to actually be present. Social media has burried us into this world that may or may not be real - in fact, you don’t know what’s real or not. Did you know there is something called “Facebook Anxiety”? Im sure this was before Instagram and can easily be called Instagram Anxiety now. People are spending far too much time being consumed by the lives they’re seeing on social media, getting upset, hopeless and angry because they don’t think they have the life they “aspire” to have.
We’ve become obsessed and addicted to our devices and I truly believe is is unhealthy; I see it in my two year old daughter. She’s absolutely obsessed with the iPad/iPhone and she knows exactly how to use it and find the programs she needs - it’s scary! I do my best to control how much I let her use it and how often she’s on it. I’ve downloaded many educational games for her on the iPad and so when she is on it, at least she’s not watching things that are mindless. She LOVES YouTube and starts to watch all her favorite tv shows but then it moves on from there to random things and I can see her scrolling and scrolling; so I let her have it a certain amount of time then I take it away from her. Instead, I take her outside, or play toys with her in her room to distract her and show her I’m here to play and pay attention to her. It works every time, she’s happy!
So what do we do? Get rid of social media? Disconnect from the world? No. As mentioned in the video, it is all about balance! Balance and in my opinion, the content you chose to watch. Stop scrolling through the popular page for endless hours, follow people that inspire you or you connect with and let it uplift you, not bring you down! I can’t tell you how passionate I’m about this subject. I see too many people around me becoming consumed and start LIVING for social media and it’s sad and scary to see. Check out this short video below and let me know your thoughts. Much love, Lilit.
I’ve really been wanting to take her to an extra curricular activity for a while now but she’s still too young for most of it. It was between gymnastics and ballet and well, ballet is just too stinkin’ cute! Kat is very active, strong and flexible so I figured this is the perfect start for her. I googled a bunch of toddler ballet classes locally and found one that had great reviews. I can’t tell you the “review” of my place yet because she’s really just gone to one class so far. I highly suggest finding the closest place to you and read up the reviews. Most these places will have a free trial, so take advantage of those and see which place your kiddo loves most!
She walked in happy and excited to see other kids her age and said hi to them with the biggest smile! As soon as we sat down for circle time, she started climbing on me and didn’t want to be a part of it; she was crying and borderline throwing a tantrum. I get it, it’s a new environment and something new can be scary. We sat in the corner and I just let her watch; her crying toned down and her interest level went up. I was encouraging her by saying things like, “Look at how much fun they’re having!” but I didn’t push her. I think it’s important for them to get involved when they feel comfortable and ready. Soon enough, she felt left out and ran to join the group - just like that!
She had a blast on the first day of her ballet class and she didn’t want to leave when it was over! I signed her up right away. As toddlers, you need to be there as a parent in case you need to jump in but overall, you kind of let them do their thing. At this stage, they’re learning the simplest steps of ballet, but it’s more about exercise, discipline, following rules & moves, socializing and most importantly, having fun! I’m really excited for this new adventure for Kat - beats staying home and watching TV! What activities are your kiddos in?
I miss you guys. It’s been a minute since I last blogged - I have all these ideas everyday and all these things I want to post and share but yet I haven’t been able to find a minute in my day. I’ve taken photos and jotted down all the yummy recipes I’ve been meaning to share & finding super cute fashion pieces for super cheap prices...and it has yet to make it here!
It’s been a pretty busy month full of events! From launch events for Becca, Smashbox, Hourglass, Duart & Laura Mercier, to my launches with the Minimalist Mauves & Mauve Jewels, to Meet & Greets at Naimies, being part of the Simply event, teaching a Makeup course for a week, family events and having tourists from Armenia...you get the point. It’s been fun, exciting & exhausting all into one.
Kat has been really attached to me lately and although I love it and my heart melts that she always wants to be with me; this also means she won’t sleep unless I’m sleeping with her. Especially since she caught a cold and has a fever the last 2 days; she’s getting away with it. Currently we’re in my bed and she’s laying next to me trying to fall asleep. Once she’s asleep, we take her to her bed. But this also means possibly laying here next to her for 2 hours starring at a dark ceiling. When I open my phone, she starts screaming, “Peppa Pig!!” - so I quickly put my phone away. So basically, being active on social media has been quite the challenge lately!
If you don’t already know Kat, let me just give you a little background on her: she is one of the most active 2 year olds you’ve seen! And when I say active, I mean fearless, relentless, quick & sharp. Although I am very happy she took after daddy, I am also very scared lol. Daddy, is very well of his actions, a 2 year old? Not so much!
Before I had a child, I criticized parents who would put “leashes” on their kids. I would think, “she’s not a dog!” But let me tell you, dogs are more disciplined than a 2 year old. I took Kat to Disneyland for the first time last year and I purchased one to take with me and boy am I glad I did! This child wants to run like the wind every chance she gets. Have you seen her climb up the slides at kids indoor playgrounds? Lighting bolt.
Long story short, she loves the water! She loves baths, pools and the ocean. We took her to the beach in October and she would just run to the water as if she knew what she was doing. Although her excitement would make me happy, it equally scared me.
As Summer is approaching, I knew it was crucial for me to take her to swimming lessons. After much research and referrals, I decided to take her to “Swim to Selena” in Sherman Oaks, Ca. The location is at her home but don’t be confused: although very homey, she is a professional and an expert swimming instructor.
The courses are 2 weeks, 9 classes, 30 minutes a day. I was lucky she accepted Kat because she missed the first day, but you cannot miss a single class. The trick is consistency and I noticed that from coming back to class from the weekend. The goal of the class is to teach non-swimmers not only how to swim, but how to survive. God forbid they ever get pushed in the pool, fall or even jump in, how to quickly turn around and get back to the wall or a safe zone. The goal of this class is to not be afraid of the water, learn how to swim underwater holding their breath and know how to get themselves out of any dangerous situations; not to be a professional swimmer.
Kat cried/screamed the first 2 days...I swear I was crying with her lol. (Look at picture above with her trying to hide , sticking to the wall!). However, Selena said it was perfectly normal and I trusted her as she has several kids every 30 minutes like 8 hours a day! By Day 3, just as expected, she cried less. Mind you, although she was crying the first few days, she was still swimming and pushing! By the second week, the tears were gone and so was the fear. It was back to Kat loving the water and not wanting to get out! In fact, quite a few times, she would throw herself in the water off the bench when it wasn’t her turn! Remember that quick, fearless girl? Yup, she’s back! At the end, even the instructor assured me she would be that kid at a pool party jumping in the water! Although it was a hard process for me as a mom, I trusted in the structure of the class and knew I HAD to do this for Kat.
If you’re thinking about taking your child to swimming lessons, don’t think twice!!! We NEED to be proactive in the safety of our children and we NEED to take action. Don’t say, “tomorrow”, what’s more important today? If Selena is not close to your home/location, find one closer to you and book it ASAP. I hope this post was helpful! Please feel free to comment and let me know if you have any questions or concerns!
This was part of my blog posts earlier this year. Decluttering your life one closet, car, pantry, and makeup drawer at a time. I’ve been on this “cleanse” for a month now and it feels so good! I still have a few more spaces to go through, but the progress has been calming and uplifting, all at the same time.
I started with my closet. I take out a couple bags every few months, keep only what I’m currently wearing and give away everything else I haven’t worn or won’t anymore. I don’t throw anything in the trash by the way; I give it away to family, friends and those in need in Armenia. I later moved on to my shoe closet and emptied that out, then my kitchen pantry (which is way too small and inconvenient for anyone), then to Kats drawers and all the clothes she can’t fit in anymore, her toys, husbands closet, bathroom cabinets, and any other drawer/closet I found in my house
I later moved onto my Elcie office and emptied out 3 boxes of Makeup I’ve been sent; which I took to the girls at my studio to be able to use on their clients. While I was organizing them at the studio, I emptied out THOSE Makeup drawers and refreshed them, cleaned out the receptionist drawers, color room cabinets and the entire kitchen! Oh and not to forget, cleansing out my phone: I uploaded and backed up 15k photos and deleted them off my phone. When I tell you I’ve been on a cleanse...I’ve been on a cleanse!
In other words...it’s been a tiring and busy few weeks lol. Not only cleansing is good because you declutter and have a sense of calmness and organization around but I’ve found it to be very therapeutic. When I’m decluttering physical things out of my life, I simultaneously declutter my mind; I think of all the junk in my head and I toss it away with the physical junk I don’t need anymore. When I’m organizing physical things, I’m simultaneously organizing my thoughts and getting everything in order; I file away what I don’t currently need and bring up to surface the things that I really want and need and those that matter - the keepers!
We are constantly filling our minds with garbage throughout the day. Whether it’s something we saw on tv, social media, heard through a friend, or just things we create in our minds...although only natural, it clouds it from all the things we SHOULD be thinking about and filling our minds with. Most of you already know I enjoy a good read every so often. I read at least a few chapters of an inspiring, motivational or uplifting book each night before I sleep. Reading being the last thing I do before I go to bed...I go to sleep with only positive thoughts in my mind and wake up with a fresh mood and attitude. I used to scroll through my phone every night before I slept and I believe that’s one of the worst things you can do. In fact, I wake up now and have a cup of coffee and enjoy my morning with Kat before I even look at my phone. It’s seriously been such a life changing start and finish to my every day and highly, HIGHLY recommend it.
What do you do to declutter your life & thoughts? Any rituals you have? Would love to hear your thoughts.
I used to go on Snapchat and talk to my followers 30 minutes to an hour at a time. I used to write up blog posts about the smoothies I made or my weekend with my family. I used to write up reviews on new products. I used to be more “connected”. And when I say “used to”, it seems like years ago and although it’s only been a few months, it’s been too long and I miss you guys. I stay as connected as possible with Instagram, but even then, I let it slip sometimes.
But the real questions is, how in the world are we in June?! Every month I think, NEXT month it’ll be better, NEXT month I’m free and I’m still trying to catch up with that “NEXT” month. Between meetings in New York, Italy & Chicago in 4 months, between Elcie, Lilit Makeup Studio, Youtube & Family, I haven’t had the chance to connect. Sometimes I think that it’s ok & that we should allow ourselves to disconnect and LIVE every so often; but when I do, I feel guilty and feel as though I’ve neglected my followers and that’s not fair either! So for those who always ask, “How do you balance it all?” - I’m still trying to figure it out
Staying active is really important for any Influencer. We need to always stay relevant, create good content and be creative. It doesn’t seem so complicated right? Believe me, it’s work! A simple makeup look takes time to do, takes time to catch good lighting, take enough photos, find one you like, editing, etc. For a mom with a business to run, this is 3x more difficult. I absolutely LOVE makeup and when I’m not creative I miss it and get mad at myself for it. So it’s basically this vicious cycle of me trying to catch up in one category or another.
However, I don’t want this to come off as a complaint! I HATE complaining and have completely shifted my mind to be the most optimist person I can be. But, I did want to catch up with you guys and give you a little insight on where I’ve been and tell you that I miss you.
Elcie has been kicking my butt. Having your own brand is a blessing and although I love every second of it, it’s more work than the 3 jobs I used to have at the same time! The stress level and the daily struggles are beyond; but it truly drives me and makes me want to work harder to become the best at what I do.
I have a LOT to update you guys on and in due time, I hope to be able to share it. I love you guys and hope that you’re all doing so well! I’m making an active decision to come back to this board soon, till then, share with me! Comment and share how your life’s been? I want to hear from you.
